To Thomas Wood 'my black' [presumably a reference to his race] an annuity of £40. To the poor of the parish of Hawnes £20.
Witnesses: Isa Wilkinson, Thomas Barnes, Edward Cook Junior.
Codicil: 16th December 1771.
Annuity to Thomas Wood, 'my black', raised to £50. To Jack Nightingale, 'my Indian Boy', having made him free, an annuity of £40. Annuity of £40 to William Nightingale, my groom [race not specified, but perhaps a relation of the above).

Second Codicil: 23rd September 1772.
