DescriptionGiving to John Carpynter of the same vill three acres of arable land lying in the field called Wodewell, of which two acres lie in breadth between the land of Richard Hale on the south and that of Richard Lechmere on the north and extend in length from the land of the said John [which?] on the west as far as that of Nicholas Carpynter on the east, and six selions [sc. the third acre] of the land lie in the same field between the land of Nicholas Carpynter on the west and that of various men (diversorum virorum) on the east and in length from Northfield (Northfeld) on the south to the land of John Chyrchehey on the north; to be held with its ditches, fences (sepibus), hedges (haiciis) and all their appurtenances to the said John, his heirs and assigns, freely [etc] in perpetuity, of the chief lord of the fee by the services due from the land and lawfully accustomed.
