DescriptionGiving to Roger Frewyn of Hanley, county Worcester (Wygorn'), in Le Forthey there, a messuage called Haleheyes, with three acres of arable land with appurtenances, in the fee of Hanley, [in length] between the land of Richard Baron, Richard Lechemer and John Carpynter on the east and the said messuage on the west, and in breadth between the land of John Carpynter on both sides; and also two acres of arable land in Haleasshecrofte, in length between the land of the said John Carpynter on the west and the land called Bradewilleson the north [east]; and also a messuage lying in Le Northend of Hanley next to the field called Collefeldon the south and the messuage once belonging to John Carpynter on the north, and extending from the said field towards the king's highway (regiam viam); and also four dayworks of arable land lying in Le Woodewellehill, namely three acres lying together between the land recently called Bradewellon both sides and extending in length from the land of the said Roger Frewyn [sc. of Le Forthey] on the south as far as that of John Carpynter on the north, and the other acre lying in the same field between the land of Roger Frewyn de le Churchend on the west and that of Richard Fissher on the east and extending from the land of the said Roger Frewyn [sc. of Le Forthey] on the south to that of Roger Frewyn de le Churchend on the north; and also one daywork of arable land lying in Wodevill, in length between the land of Richard Churcheye on the west and that of John Cornewell on the east and in breadth between the land recently belonging to the aforesaid John Kewe on the north and that of John Cornewall on the south; and also one daywork of arable land lying in , in length between the land of Henry Meysey on the south and that of Richard Lechemer on the north and in breadth between the land of Matilda Lynton on the east and that of John Wodeman de le Lane on the west; and [finally] one parcel of meadow lying at Thomaspulle, which lies in exchange each year between William Hanley, John Trygge and others; to be held to Roger, his heirs and assigns, in perpetuity, of the chief lord of the fee by the services due from the property and lawfully accustomed. 1. The messuage called Haleheyes, the land in Haleasshecrofte, and three of the other parcels had been bought by John Kew and his wife in 1469, and the missing detail of the Haleasshecrofte land can be supplied from there.
