DescriptionTo Henry Hanley of Hanley Castle, yeoman, of all his lands, meadows, leasowes (lesues ) and pastures with appurtenances lying in the lordship of Hanley Castle, except five long field edges (sydons ) recently belonging to Thomas Lechemer; to be held to Henry and his wife and a child of theirs named by one of them for 41 years from Michaelmas next, paying annually 38s to Thomas Trigge, his heirs and assigns, at the Annunciation and Michaelmas in equal portions; the lessees to hedge, ditch and repair the lands as necessary, to crop and lop trees, and [permitted] to let the land for three years at a time. Henry Hanley is to inform Thomas Trigge of courts to be held at Hanley. Thomas and his heirs will acquit Henry Hanley of all quit rents, chief rents or other charges relating to the said land. Distraint of goods is permitted after one month's default and re-entry after three months if insufficient goods found. Warranty clause. Sealing clause.
