(Dorse, in English) : The condition of the bond is that if William pays to Thomas or to his executors or assigns 4 marks sterling in the following manner, namely 20s before the feast of All Saints next, 20s before the Invention of the Holy Cross next, and 13s 4d at Michaelmas or within eight days afterwards, in payment of four years rent for the house and lands which William occupies in Roberts End (Robertisend), and also at Michaelmas discharges the said Thomas his heirs and assigns of all arrears of quit rent and yields up to him the said house and land so that Thomas his heirs and assigns may thenceforth occupy and enjoy the same premises without interruption let or denial by the said William or his heirs or by any other acting in their names, then the obligation is to be void; but otherwise it will stand in full power and strength.Dated at : [no place given].
