DescriptionGiving to William Bawgth one acre of arable land with a part of one hedge lying at Smalestrete, in length between the Severn (Sabrinam) on the east and the public road (communem viam) on the west, [and] in breadth between the land once belonging to John Yorke on the north and that of John Bradewell on the south; to be held with appurtenances to the said William Bawgth, his heirs and assigns, in perpetuity, of the chief lord of the fee by the services due from the land and lawfully accustomed. Witnesses: Nicholas Hanley, Richard Lechemer, Nicholas Crabbe, John Hancocke, John Tele and others.

1. The year is given as 41 Henry VI, thus ignoring the reign of Edward IV which began in March 1461; the same is true of below, written two days later, and of , dated 1466; otherwise Edward IV is acknowledged in the Hanley documents. However the restoration of Henry VI (September 1470 to April 1471) is used in dating the four deeds which fall within that period.
2. William Frewyn is seen as a Justice of the Peace for the county in , and as bailiff of Hanley in several other deeds; he was still bailiff in 1479-80, when he presented the manorial accounts, and in 1484 when he was witness to a deed concerning land in Castlemorton
