'Copies of two papers written by the late King Charles the 2nd of blessed memory' from paper found in his strong box and purportedly signed by James II. They relate to whether he was a Roman Catholic at his death.
The pamphlets date between 1651 and 1658 and are:
'Severall proceedings in Parliament form Thursday 4 of September to Thursday the 11 day of September 1651' and includes accounts of the Battle of Worcester; 'The Publick Intelligencer' from Monday September 6 to Monday September 13 1658 and relates to the dewath of Oliver Cromwell, Lord Protector; THe Speech of Christopher Love on the scaffold 22 August 1651; and 'The Publick Intelligencer' for Monday October 11 to Monday October 18 1658, incluidng a copy of the address of the Justices and Grand Jury of the Sessions for the Peace of Worcester to Richard Cromwell, 5 October 1658.
