DescriptionGiving to Peter atte Wode of Hanley one half of the meadow called Alaynesmede in Hanley with its fences (sepibus), and with free entrance and egress for men, wains and carts (carris et carettis) and with all other appurtenances, liberties and easements; to be held of the chief lord of the fee to Peter and his heirs and assigns, freely [etc] in perpetuity, rendering annually to the lord the earl of Gloucester 6d in silver at the four terms laid down by the custom of the vill, for all secular service [etc]. Warranty clause. Peter gave Robert 20s in advance. Sealing clause.
Witnesses: Roger Golafre, then constable of Hanley (Hanlegh'), Thomas de Hanley, Peter Absolon, Richard Symond, Robert the forester, John Blundel, Richard de la Hulle and many others.
