DescriptionGiving to Richard Tele of Hanley (Hanleye), for a certain sum of money in advance, 17 selions and two gores of arable land in the field[s] of Hanley, comprising five selions lying in the furlong (cultura) called Luttelcroft, between the land of Richard Tele on both sides, and extending in length from his garden (gardino) to the headland (forerdam) of Walter Broun; six selions and two gores lying in the same field in the furlong called Overforlong, between the land of Richard Tele and the land called Packecroft and extending in length from the headland of Richard Tele to the road called Le Holostrete, along with the adjacent fences (sepibus); two selions lying in the same furlong, between the land of Richard Tele and the land called Packecroft and extending in length from the land called Packecroft to the land of the said Richard; and four selions in Northfield (le Northfelde Sondehulle between the land of the said Richard and that of Walter Broun; and [secondly], for a certain sum of money in advance, all his part of a meadow called Wodewellemede in a hollow (foramine) at the top of that meadow, with the adjacent hedges (hayciis), lying between the meadow called Hullemanmedowe and the field called Wodewelle, and abutting on the meadow of Westmore (Westmor'); [all] to be held with all appurtenances of the chief lord of the fee, freely [etc], to Richard and his heirs or assigns.
