DescriptionGiving to John his son a cottage (cottagium) with curtilage in Severn End (Sevarnende) in Hanley, as marked by clear boundaries (per certas metas), lying in breadth between his own messuage and a messuage once belonging to Henry Lechemer and in length extending from the king's highway to the land of John son of Henry Lechemere; and [giving] three butts of land and one headland (forrard') lying at Aldenhalestile, in breadth between the land of the prior of Little Malvern (Minoris Malvernie) and the little path (parvam semitam) leading towards Upton (Uptone ), with a hedge (haycio ) lying along one end of the land; and also one selion in Burleyfield (Burleyfeld) between the land of Roger the clerk and that of John le Mareys of Upton, and four selions of land in the other [another?] (alio) field of Burley (Burleye), lying in breadth between the land of Adam le Porter and that of John Tele; to be held with all appurtenances of the chief lord of the fee to John and his heirs or assigns, freely [etc], rendering to the chief lord annually the services due and accustomed.
