DescriptionGiving to John Chambur, William Symondus, Richard Frewyn and William Frewyn his whole land called Beleyshale which he lawfully inherited from Joan Beloy [sic] his mother, and which lies in breadth between the land of Richard Crompe on the south and the public road (communem viam) called Newestreton the north and extends in length from the land of Richard Baron and his co-tenants (corrent') on the east to that of William Frewyn on the west; to be held with its ditches, fences and hedges and all its appurtenances to the said John, William, Richard and William, their heirs and assigns, freely [etc] in perpetuity, of the chief lord of the fee by the services due from the land and lawfully accustomed. Seal: red wax, device of a tree, flanked by two animals.

1. Newestretis mentioned only here, and its location is uncertain; the established "streets" in Hanley have names well known from the documentary sources.
2. Roger Holle is described as vicar of Hanley in 1460 and 1465. His presence here might suggest that he was already vicar in 1456
