DescriptionWhereas Alice Baron his grandmother, formerly wife of Richard Baron [his paternal grandfather] holds for the term of her life two and a half dayworks of arable land lying in the lordship of Hanley in a certain croft there called Ascrofte, extending in length between the public road on the east and the land of Richard Trygge on the west and in breadth between the field of the prior of Little Malvern called Prioursfelde on the south and the land of the said Richard on the north, with its fences, ditches and their appurtenances, with reversion after her death to William and his heirs, William now grants by this charter to Richard Trygge of Hanley the same reversion after the death of Alice; to be held to Richard Trygge, his heirs and assigns, in perpetuity, of the chief lords of those fees by the services due from the land and lawfully accustomed. Warranty clause. Sealing clause.
Witnesses: James Knottesford, then bailiff there, Richard Lechmer, William Baughe, Roger Bagger, John Carpenter and many others.
