DescriptionGiving to Henry Chambur gentleman, Roger Frewen of Forthey, John Baugh, Thomas Lechemer, William Frewen and Henry Hanley all his messuages, lands and tenements, with all appurtenances, in the lordship of Hanley, namely his messuage in Southend, lying [in length] between the land of William Harper on the south and that of the said William Hanley on the north, and in breadth from the field called Westfield (Westfelld) on the west to the king's highway (regiam viam) on the east, along with 30 acres of arable land and six acres of meadow lying in different places in various fields and meadows in Hanley, and belonging to the same messuage; and a messuage in Southend called Taillersgrownd, lying between the land of William Hanley on the south and that of the lord, the king, on the north, and in breadth from the field called Westfield on the west to the king's highway on the east, along with 11 acres of arable land, eight acres of pasture and four acres of meadow similarly lying in various fields and meadows in Hanley and belonging to the same messuage; and a messuage with appurtenances called Cocksford, lying at Cocksford, between the field called Heynsfelld, Le Holowlone and in length from the aforesaid road called Holowlone to the field called Medowfelld; and a messuage with appurtenances called Northendhey, lying between Cliffey (Le Cliffhey) on the east and the king's highway on the west and extending as far as the close (clausuram) of Thomas Chestur on the south (no north bounds given); to be held with appurtenances to [the said grantees] on condition that they will quitclaim all their right and claim in the aforesaid messuages, lands and tenements, with appurtenances, to Henry Hanley immediately after the death of William Hanley; to be held to the said Henry Hanley, his heirs and assigns, in perpetuity, of the chief lord of the fee by the services due from the property and lawfully accustomed.
