Seal: red wax (1) device of a pentagon in a circle, with radii; (2) device of a six point star; (3) device of a fleur de lys in a rectangular frame.
1. These three deeds are in the same hand and form a group : the bond is used to confirm the grant (not a common procedure, unless many bonds have been lost), and the quitclaim is the surrender of any interest in the land by the previous tenants, who had bought the land from Roger Wodman, probably John's father.
