DescriptionGiving to Thomas Beeston of Hanley Castle gentleman and Joan his wife all their tenement with an orchard and close adjoining, with appurtenances, in Church End (Chyrchende) in the lordship of Hanley, situated and lying next to Combe Crosse, which they recently had of the gift and feoffment of the same Thomas Beeston; to be held to Thomas and Joan of the chief lords of the fee by the services due from the property and lawfully accustomed, for their lives and the life of the survivor; remainder to Thomas's relative and serjeant (consanguineo et servienti) Robert Beeston and his lawful heirs, and in the absence of heirs remainder to John Beeston, brother of Robert, in perpetuity; and also grant of power of attorney to George Moyses chaplain and Richard Barne, to give possession and seisin. Sealing clause.
Witnesses at delivery and seisin (on dorse) : William Frewen gentleman, James Bryttan, John Dawby and others.
Dated at Hanley.
