DescriptionGiving to John Lawton and Isabel his wife [and Isabel his wife added above the line] of Hanley Castle, for a certain sum of money paid in advance, three and a half acres of arable land; of this, two and a half acres lie in a certain field called Lechmarsfyld in various parts, with one and a half acres lying between the land of William Frewen on the south and that of Edward Baughe on the north, and another acre lying between the land recently belonging to Henry Hanley on the west and that of the lord, the king, on the east; and [the remaining] acre lies in a certain field called Northfield (Northfyld) between the land of the parish church of Hanley on the west and that of William Bradstock on the east; to be held with all appurtenances to John and Isabel [Isabel's name added above the line], their heirs and assigns, of the chief lord of the fee by the rents and services formerly due from the land and lawfully accustomed.
