DescriptionTo William Pynnock . . . gentleman, of two mills under one roof in Hanley with the dams, pools and fisheries belonging to them, and the park there called Hanley park and the lodge belonging . . .for the term of William's life, with remainder to Elizabeth his wife and reversion to lord Clynton and lady Ursula his wife, and to his heirs; rendering 10s at the Nativity of St John Baptist and for a consideration of ð 100 in hand paid at the sealing; and also [leasing] a messuage or tenement with four acres of arable land with appurtenances, in Hanley, and two acres of pasture now in the tenancy of Robert Bieston, and ten acres of meadow called the Overlawemede, for the term of William's life, with remainder to the aforesaid Elizabeth, rendering one red rose at the Nativity of St John Baptist if it be demanded. It is agreed that Edward before next Michaelmas shall confirm the agreement by levying a fine in the king's court. Sealing clause.
