Worcestershire Archaeology Day 2024

 

An annual day of 8 talks celebrating and sharing recent investigations in Worcestershire, run by Explore the Past - the county Archive & Archaeology Service.

This year's talks will include:

  • The Archaeology of Worcester in 20 Digs - James Dinn talks about his new book.

Day tickets (£23) - attend in person at The Hive, this includes refreshments on arrival, at morning break and afternoon break.

Recording only tickets (£10) - Talk recordings will be sent out approximate a week after the event and will be available indefinitely, so that you can watch at your convenience. Please note that the event will not be livestreamed.

Location: The Hive
Additional Information: The Hive is fully accessible to wheelchair users, mobility scooters and pushchairs and has ramp access to all areas on each floor. Lifts will give you access to all public floors within the building, and disabled toilet facilities can be found near to the lifts on each floor. The Hive is well-served by a number of adjacent car parks. Cattlemarket pay and display car park is directly in front of The Hive. 21 designated blue badge disabled bays are available along the near side of The Hive facing the building. There is a ramped access way signposted all around the side of The Hive leading directly to the main entrance. Crowngate Shopping Centre car park located opposite The Hive is a ticketed multi-storey car park. Shop mobility is available from this car park on level six. Exit the car park into the shopping centre on Level 2, leave the shopping centre and follow the flat footpath access across The Hive's bridge to bring you to the main entrance. The Hive has two bicycle park areas on its grounds, one located directly opposite the main entrance and the other under the viaduct next to Cattlemarket car park.
