A workshop for those begining to read Latin documents for their research. It's led by one of our archivists using the parish registers. As well as looking at some of the background to the records and the use of Latin, you'll get the chance to have a go at translating some typical parish records.

The session will focus on reading the documents rather than teaching Latin, so participants should already have some basic Latin knowledge
