NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN
 
that a casual vacancy has arisen in the Office of Councillor for the Parish Council following the resignation on 27 May 2025 of Councillor A Worsley
If by 27 June 2025 a request for an election to fill said vacancy is made in writing to the Returning Officer at the address below by TEN electors** for the said Parish / Lindridge ward, an election will be held to fill the said vacancy, otherwise the vacancy will be filled by co-option.
If an election is called, it will take place not later than 19 September 2025 (within 60 days)

* In calculating dates for this purpose, exclude Saturday, Sunday, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Good Friday and bank holidays.
** There is no form of words for this request, which might simply be a letter headed with such words as “We the undersigned being electors for the [Ward of] … Parish, call for an election to fill the vacancy arising from the [death][resignation] of …”. It is helpful if the ten signatures are accompanied by printed names and addresses.

Information Kiosk

The old BT Box opposite the Memorial Hall has been refurbished by local residents and is being used as an Information Point for recycling, advertising of events etc. The kiosk is open to view at all times. If you have any used stamps please leave them in the box, the RNIB will use them to raise funds.
