Mamble Annual Parish Meeting Postponed
MAMBLE ANNUAL PARISH MEETING
Due to mitigating circumstances this meeting has been postponed until further notice.
Following a High Court judgment issued on the 28th April 2021, remote meetings cannot take place in England after the 6th May 2021. A further High Court judgment on the 4th May 2021 addressed the issue of public participation in meetings and ruled that local authority meetings must be open to the public in a physical sense. This means that the public must be able to attend in person and councils have to provide such facilities, including strict cleaning regimes and risk assessments.
The current situation is a huge dilemma for Parish, District and County Councils and Village Hall committees trying to balance these requirements with other restrictions imposed by the Covid pandemic and Public Health rules.
Mamble Parish Councillors continue to work and communicate via telephone and zoom.
If you have any questions, or issues you wish to raise, please contact the Chairman Chris Bunn on 01299 832264 or the Clerk Anne Watson on 01299 896841.
Mamble Parish Councillors
Mr C Bunn (Chairman), Mr S Finney, Mrs S Rawlins, Mrs J Rogers.
