Lower Broadheath is a largely rural parish located west of Worcester City on the B4204 Martley Road. The population at the 2001 census was 1,713. The main local employer is Broadheath Foods, with most residents working outside the village. Lower Broadheath is blessed with a church, village hall, community shop and post office and two pubs. The birthplace of Edward Elgar is within the village near the common.
