In memory of Parish Councillor Dave Stanley

"Parish Councillors past and present, the Clerk and the Lengthsman
wish to mark with great sorrow the unexpected passing of our friend
and colleague Dave Stanley. Dave was parish councillor for eight years
and chairman for four and the impact that he has had with his
knowledge and passion is immeasurable. His experience guided the
parish council into focusing on more achievable projects that really
make a difference locally. He was instrumental in bringing better
broadband provision to much of the parish - that single project alone
has improved conditions and quality of life for so many local families
and businesses. His dedication to action on our climate crisis meant
that fellow councillors and parishioners often received a 'no
apologies', raw, visceral education on the threat that fossil fuels
pose to our way of life - but all the better for it - as many
residents are now taking the hard and demanding steps towards
minimising their impact on Earth. He saw the best in each of us and he
fought the best for those yet to come. He will be very much missed.
Our heartfelt thoughts and condolences go to his family."
