DescriptionToned photograph of George [(1865-1936) Duke of York, later King George V of Great Britain and Ireland] (centre right) alongside George William, 9th Earl of Coventry (centre left), with Lady Blanche Coventry (seated, front centre left) along with other members of the Coventry family and other unidentified notable figures. The group are assembled in front of the steps to Croome Court.
The lower left corner of the mounting has the words " T. Bennett and Sons" [photographers] blind embossed in gold, whilst the lower right corner has the words "Worcester and Malvern" ditto. . The reverse of the photograph has the following information "Established 1856. T. Bennett and Sons, Photographers. Under the patronage of the Prince and Princess of Wales. Worcester and Malvern. Studios: 8, Broad Street, Worcester. Church Street, Malvern." A note in blue pen incorrectly states "Duke of York's visit to Worcester and Croome - 1898".
Print backed on hard board.
Measures 403mm x 280mm without mounting, 425 x 315mm with mounting.
