DescriptionLetters sent from Worcester, item 705:73 BA14450/290/10 (1) states that the business last mentioned has now been settled, he went with Mr Phillips and Mr Gresley, along with around eighty constables to the spot where the goods were but found 'that most of the men had departed taking with them such of the goods as were easily moveable. I apprehend want of subsistence compelled them to go in quest of work'. Talks of Mr Johnson's piece of plate, to be presented by a deputation of six yeomanry. Sir W[illia]m Smith's son has committed suicide, with an inquest verdict of lunacy.
Item 705:73 BA14450/290/10 (2) talks of subscribers to the church of St Clements. As his Lordship subscribes to the building of churches, sees no reason for him to subscribe to this also.
