Title	Letter from George William, 7th Earl of Coventry to Lord Erskine [possibly John Francis Erskine, 24th Earl of Mar (c.1741-1825)]
Description	Letter sent from Devonshire Place [London], which talks of Barnes [M. W. Barnes] addressing his eldest daughter [with a view to marrying her] and 'although I negated in the strongest terms [...] he has succeeded in his conspiracy and taken my daughter off!'. As she is a Ward in Chancery he seeks help from his Lordship 'so as to at least save her fortune from the man she has unfortunately chosen'.
