Matters discussed include: public bathing barges; slaughterhouses; military service, replacement staff and the employment of discharged soldiers; analysis of food, drink and water supply for contamination or adulteration, and any subsequent prosecutions; establishment and minutes of sub-committees; Tuberculosis, including names, addresses, and condition both of patients, sometimes giving cost of treatment or length of stay (also some information on patients suffering other diseases); treatment for discharged soldiers (usually for TB); petroleum and explosives licenses (some giving name and address of holder/applicant); nuisances reported; staffing, maintenance and treatments at Newtown Hospital; Maternity and Child Welfare, including running the day nursery; schedule of work giving description and location of property, names of owners/occupiers and number of ashtubs or waterclosets to be provided; outbreaks of infectious diseases, including the influenza epidemic; the treatment of venereal diseases; establishment and minutes of sub-committees; plans to increase food supply during the war, especially with regard to the keeping of cows and pigs; car for the Medical Officer; milk supply; inspection of working-class houses; names, addresses and trade of the trademen appointed for 1919; and the destruction of rats.
