The volume has a loose page of draft minutes of the Hastings Museum Sub-Committee from 1884 and a rough copy of the library committee minutes from 1885. The front of the volume contains an alphabetical index. Unanimous decisions are recorded as such, occasionally the number of dissenters is recorded. At the back of the volume is a lengthy report of the subscribers committee, a list of subscribers and amount subscribed, and a balance sheet from 1883 showing how the money was spent. Binding secure but cover is scuffed and slightly torn.
