Matters discussed include allocation, transfer and termination of tenancy of allotments to individuals whose names and addresses are provided; arrears of rent of named individuals and land/property; duties, resignations, appointment, salaries and pensions of staff; telephones and exchanges; council office furnishings and supplies; swans; fuel supply; cleaning, maintenance, improvements and other works to council property, land, cemeteries and furnishings; bills and purchases approved; haymaking and grass at the cemetery; memorial and tombstone approvals; portraits and plate in the Guildhall; insurance; purchase, lease, tenancy and eviction concerning Corporation land and properties; heating, lighting and ventilation; rooms and building rented by other Corporation departments; bequests to the council in exchange for the upkeep of specific graves; war memorial, soldiers' graves and the Imperial and Commonwealth War Graves Commissions; emergency exits; concerts and dances; government scheme to provide work for the unemployed; appointment of sub-committees; Pte Frederick Dancox's Victoria Cross; accidents to staff; complaints against staff; electricity installation, use and bills; arrangements for quarter sessions; displays, exhibitions and decorations in the Guildhall.
