Includes plans of the buildings; correspondence to the Trustees from various architects and contractor concerning maintenance, repairs, inspections and other works to be carried out on the buildings and gardens; modernisation including installation of TVs etc; letters from and about residents eg letters of thanks, evictions for improper behaviour, reports of damage, health matters and death of residents; valuations; financial matters, costs for the new building, and funds held by various related charitites and the Charity Commission, particularly relating to the new building works; rehousing of residents in the old almshouses and plans for their demolition; lists of residents in Wyatt's, Nash's, Berkeley's and other almshouses; black and white photographs, the largest of which approx 8x10inches (some stamped Geoffrey M Hopcraft, photographer) showing the front exterior of the almshouses and the paved courtyard with flower beds with new shrubs and trees planted, the photos were probably taken in the morning from the milk bottles on the doorsteps.
