Matters recorded included: trades; sanitary regulations; Assize of Bread and Ale; fishing and river trade; royal subsidies and proclamation; petitions and orders relating to the Privy Council and Council of the Marches; musters and pressing of soldiers; drill; cost of armour etc; fish in Lent; prevention of exporting corn; archery; charters of Bromsgrove, Coventry, Kinver etc; lists of freeholders; charitable bequeasts and distribution of aid to the poor; reception of the Lord of the Marches; famine of 1597; Gunpowder Plot; and building of new Tolsey and Shambles.

With a partial typed index, and contemporary index at the end of the volume fos 299-324 to end.

The volume also contains Lay Day Orders and copies of Lay Subsidy lists 1550s-1608.

This has been treated by a conservator and has been rebound into several smaller folios.
