DescriptionAlphabetical index of Freemen, listing date of admission, name, trade, residence and remarks (usually listing year of decease, expunged etc). Includes a note at the front of the volume concerning the Freeman's Oath and qualification for freedom.

Almost all the entries have amendments (e.g. change of residence noted) and have been crossed through when the freeman died or otherwise ceased to be a freeman. Entries are widely spaced which allowed for later additions whilst maintaining alphabetical order. The dates of admission span approximately 1800 to 1885.

Covers are damaged and slightly loose, would benefit from conservation.
