DescriptionBound volume of general accounts entitled "Book of General Accounts, from the year 1719", being the accounts of Richard Harris [accountant] for the rents and casual profits of the several manors and lordships of the Right Honourable the Earl of Coventry. Includes details of the rack rents and chief rents due; casual profits received; heriots received; wood money received; allowances made for tenants (for such things as land tax, repairs carried out, payment of wages, payment of levies and for work carried out on the lands); casual disbursements and payments to charities. In 1729 Henry Harding takes over the accounts, by 1740 the accounts are held by both Henry Harding and James Delame, with James Delame being solely responsible by 1741. In 1742 both James Delame and Jonathan Taylor are named as accountants, with Jonathan Taylor being solely responsible thereafter.
