Fitzwilliam, Lord Canterbury, Duchess of Beaufort, Lady C. Molyneux, Lord Sefton and Lord Coventry [George William, 9th Earl of Coventry]. The group are situated outside a doorway which bears the motto "R. G. MELIORE FIDE OVAM FORTUNA. S. G.". Bears a stamp which states "John Burton and Sons, Photographers, Derby, Leicester, Birmingham". Print mounted on card.
Measures 281 x 221mm without mounting, 500 x 405mm with mounting.
Date is based on John Burton and Sons opening a photography studio in Birmingham in 1862, therefore this is the earliest date possible, and Lord Henry des Voeux, who features in the photograph, died in 1868, making this the latest possible date.
