Lord Coventry appears to have paid for Miss Edward's lodging and living costs, whilst she was staying in the parlour floor of John William's house at 235 Oxford Street [London], at 11 St George's Place, Cheltenham, and at Jonathan Grisar's house at 5 Ham Place [London]. Item 705:73 BA14450/296/7 (31) is a copy of a letter sent by Lord Coventry to Miss Edwards on his return from Brighton, stating that she has returned his letters and treated him cruelly, when he has shown the greatest affection. Talks of how she has left the lodgings he endeavoured to make so comfortable for her, asks that she calms her violence and returns and he will provide anything to make her comfortable. Items 705:73 BA14450/296/7 (35-37) are letters from Annie to Lord Coventry, stating that she no longers wishes to see him and wants him to stop all communications with her.
