DescriptionLetters sent largely concerning her separation from her husband [Thomas William Coventry (1800-1882), son of Thomas William Coventry, the son of George William, 6th Earl of Coventry] after his affair with another woman, referred to by Ann as a 'witch'. By 9 April 1834 (item 705:73 BA14450/297/3 (10) the couple appear to have agreed to be reconciled. Item 705:73 BA14450/297/3 (11) talks of Sir Roger [Gresley, 8th Baronet] making a proposal to refund [?], never thought he would do so and that there would 'never be any loophole for reconciliation'.
