Title	Letters from Henry Alexander [Doctor/Surgeon?]
Description	Letters sent which talk of the state of Lord Deerhurst's [George William Viscount Deerhurst (1808-1838)] eye after a hunting accident in which he was blinded. Item 705:73 BA14450/297/11 (4) states that after examining the eye he regrets 'to say that the sight is irreparably lost as to any useful purposes [...] It would be highly improper to make any attempt to extract the shot or perform any operation'. Item 705:73 BA14450/297/11 (5) is a note of the death of Deerhurst on 5th November 1838.
