These letters were previously in the possession of Edmund Lechmere [Sir Edmund Arthur Lechmere, 4th Baronet (1865-1937)] as part of the Bellomont MS, who forwarded them to George William, 9th Earl of Coventry on 27 January 1920 so that he may keep the letters of his ancestor.
