TitleCuttings and documents accumulated in respect of Lyttelton family history
DescriptionCuttings from books, newspapers and magazines relating to the history and lineage of the Lyttelton family, accounts and receipts and notes from 19 Hen III to c1850.

Includes a history of the Lyttelton family from Thomas de Littleton to Thomas 2nd Lord Lyttelton 1773; cuttings from the supplement to the Universal Mag vol XXI relating to Thomas Littleton, Judge Littleton, 1481; Edward Littleton, Lord Keeper 1589-1645; accounts of expenses of Sheerness and list of what is required for gunner stores at Sheerness [1680]; assignment of order from Sarah Littleton to Susanna Emmerton widow 1709; cuttings relating to Lord George Lyttelton,1709-73 and his son Thomas 1744-79; receipts for monies for use of the navy 1702 and 1709; receipts for monies in respect of annuities 1750 and 1769; cuttings relating to William Henry Lyttelton 1782-1837 and George William Lyttelton 1817-1876.

The cuttings and documents have been mounted on a series of sheets of paper which seem to have become separated and muddled over the years and it is now unclear what their original order was. Some pages have been annotated. Some cuttings have been removed from their original paper mount. The Sheerness accounts relate to the time when Sir Charles Lyttelton 1629-1716 was governor of Sheerness and Languard Fort.
