This comprises almost entirely of reports received from the various other committees and sub-committees, or matters that are to be forwarded to them for discussion. Matters discussed include the practicalities, methods, charges and complaints regarding the supply of water and sewerage to residences and businesses in Worcester; bills to be paid, listing amount, purpose and parties; the building, landscaping, payments and staffing involved in establishing the new city burial ground; the Oxford, Worcester and Wolverhampton railway (especially concerning the Diglis/Butts branch) with copies of petitions; request for permission to establish business; reward to two members of the watch after the successful prosecution of thieves; enfranchisement of corporation property; half-yearly financial returns of prisoners and prosecutions; expenditure of the City rates; Christopher Henry Hebb's grant of four houses for use as almshouses in the Blockhouse; Treasurer's annual statement of accounts and other finances for both income and expenditure; requests for salary increases; markets; resignation, election and appointment of the council members; problems with street lighting; employment of council employees with an outline of duties and salaries, and usually with the successful candidate named; leases (renewal, terms, property repairs, tenants) of corporation property; mortgages; an 1858 letter from the Reverend at St Michael's drawing attention to its exclusion from the closure of city burial grounds despite the 'noxious effluvia'' of the bodies, and asking for the oversight to be corrected in light of the new burial ground opening; annual appointment of committee members, trustees and officers, with their names and brief descriptions of their duties; drinking fountains; bye-laws for Hackney Carriages, street cleaning, width of streets etc; maintenance, cleaning and improvements to city's infrastructure; Worcester Pleasure Grounds; annual award of licenses and drivers of Hackney Carriages; various annual returns; 1859 death of Mr Westwood in police custody; railways; Earl of Dudley; grants of grave spaces in the cemetery listing name, residence, plot number and amount paid by those reserving spaces.
