Matters discussed include receipts and bills, specifying those to be paid, the work or goods supplied and the amount; rates and audits; accounts and finances; maintenance, repair and improvements to corporation land, property and infrastructure; leases, rent and renewal for corporation properties; cemetery grants; return of lunatics chargeable to the city; resignation, appointment and salaries of council employees, council members and officers; members and duties of the sub-committees; expenses for criminal prosecutions; addresses and petitions; St John's cemetery; street widening; Guildhall restoration; water supply and charges; fruit market; Cathedral School; Henwick and Foregate railway stations; mortuary; music hall, especially with regards to the organ; Hackney carriages; Contagious Diseases (Animals) Act 1869; music festivals; Indian famine, 1877; bankruptcy of councillors; corporation loans; appeal to the Home Secretary regarding the conviction of jeweller George Henry Hunt in 1878; petroleum licenses; police; Worcester prison and assizes; discussion and impact of various pieces of national legislation; Hebbs Municipal Almshouse; cabmen's rest; public bathing; and the public library.
