Matters discussed include: proposed establishment of a permanent contagious disease hospital instead of using Barbourne Lodge; monitoring of the numbers of smallpox cases due to a recent outbreak; bills paid stating payee, reason and amount to be paid; insufficient drainage and possible planning deviations at properties in Sandys Road; appointment of Dr Strange as Medical Officer of Health; duties and appointment of the Inspector of Nuisances; Inspector of Petroleum; custody of the bathing barge during winter; nuisance caused by a cesspool in Sandys Road; Sanitary survey of the city to be undertaken by the Inspector of Nuisances; overcrowded tenancies; complaints about slaughtering animals without a licence; meetings of committees and subcommittees regarding Worcester Infirmary, bathing barge etc; inspection of petroleum storage areas and applications for licenses; named premises and owners determined to have unsafe or insufficient privies and drainage; adulterated sugar sold at markets; common lodging houses; cleaning/emptying of cesspools and ashpits; theft of, and damage caused by dogs to, meat in various slaughter houses; byelaws; lodging house registers and inspections; lodging of militia men; applications for slaughterhouse licenses; charges for patients at Barbourne Lodge hospital; table containing the address, owner, condition of property and opinion of the committee of properties that were identified in Dr Strange's reports as being unfit for habitation from 1875; mortuary at the cemetery; appointment of a public analyst; Canal Boats Act 1877, with some tables of names and basic descriptions of boats and registration details; measures to reduce infant mortality; diseased meat; nuisance in St John's churchyard from burials; analyses of food and drugs.
