Matters discussed include: establishment of sub-committees; maintenance and extension of mains to streets, premises and transport; engineers, equipment and infrastructure required e.g. generating and pumping stations; provision of street lighting; meters; staff and apprentices; accidents; insurance compensation claims; consumer accounts; bills owed; tenancies; local government board of inquiry regarding a loan for Tybridge Street generating station; and the illumination of streets for the coronation of Edward VII.

With alphabetical index in the front of volume 1. Waxy white residue on the pages of the earlier volume, some mould stains on both volumes' covers.
