DescriptionTwo scrapbooks and bundles of loose news clippings from Worcester's local newspapers kept by Alderman Brotherton. The newspaper articles and letters mostly relate to local history and customs, notable events such as appointment, retirement and funerals of prominant council members, closure and demolition of buildings and organisations etc. With letters, pictures and Brotherton's own handwritten notes.

Earlier cuttings are more likey to be glued into scrapbooks than later ones.

Loose cuttings and notes were in annotated envelopes (now replaced): "County Snippings. Sir Roger de Coverley", and "Newspaper reports & pictures on weather conditions coverning Worcester & Worcestershire 1947 - 1960s", divided into three envelopes.
