DescriptionThe following deeds relate to properties on the north side of Dolday. Originally they were the property of Worcester Corporation but were enfranchised in 1870s - 80s and subsequently purchased by Worcester City for slum clearance.

Bundle 1 (11 documents) - Assignment of leases, leases, abstract of title, covenant, sales particulars, application for an official search, and conveyances concerning properties in Dolday. AIso includes a list of deeds and documents which relates to no. 36 Dolday and court 2-5 Dolday. Sale particular with plan 1881, item no. 7, includes Newport Street, the Esplanade Spring Gardens, Clapgate and Bank Street, scale 6 inches to 1 foot. conveyance 1881, item no. 8, includes plan scale 6 inches to 1 foot.
Parties: Corporation of Worcester, Pumphrey, Grisman, Dingle, Hayter, Francis, Holms and other families. Covers 1824 - 1940.

Bundle 2 (5 documents) - Conveyances and abstracts of title concerning property in Dolday, including no. 22 Dolday, formally no 10, and no. 14 Dolday [later no. 28]. Abstract of title 1895, item no. 2, includes plan, Scale 1 inch to 20 feet. Also relates to property in Rack Alley.
Parties: Osborn, Lewis, Rushton, Atkins, Lee, Shakespeare and other families. Covers 1895 to 1908.

Bundle 3 (19 documents) - Conveyances, leases, assignment of leases, mortgages, settlements, declarations, enfranchisements and licences to assign concerning property in Dolday, including no. 38 and the Sow and Pig public house, Dolday. Assignment of lease 1821, item no. 1, includes plan. No scale given. Deeds of infranchisement 1876, item nos. 14 and 15, contain plans, scale 3 inches to 1 foot.
