DescriptionAlphabetical index of Freemen, listing date of admission, name, trade, residence and alterations (usually listing decease, expunged etc).

Almost all the entries have amendments (e.g. change of residence noted) and have been crossed through when the freeman died or otherwise ceased to be a freeman. Entries are widely spaced which allowed for later additions whilst maintaining alphabetical order. The dates of admission span a century from the 1790s, with dates of decease noted up until c.1920.

Covers are damaged and slightly loose, would benefit from conservation.
