DescriptionLists of people who have paid the Poor Rates for the preceeding year and are therefore eligible to vote, and whose voting papers were collected by the Assistant Overseers and rates collectors. Lists are organised by parish and by street, and each volume contains the number of the voting paper; the voters' names; description of property; number of votes; observations (usually that the occupier was not at home); and the mode of voting (i.e. in favour or against the resolution). Includes two volumes of personal applications for voting papers covering all districts and two volumes for St Peter the Great containing the names of the owners assessed instead of the occupiers.
