DescriptionTwo reports by the Worcester School Board on the Penny Dinner scheme, which provided meals in the winter, the poorest children being fed by dontations from local businesses and individuals. The reports recap the scheme, including testimonials from headteachers, abstract of accounts and lists of subscribers. The first report covers 1884 - 1892 and the second 1892 - 1895. With two copy letters sent to subscribers requesting their continued support, dated 1892 and 1896, at least one of which would have accompanied the copy of the General Report.
