Item b 705:73 BA14450/254/1 is a plan of Bishop's Fields, copied by Doharty junior from a 1591 survey by Blagrave at the last deforestation in the reign of Queen Elizabeth I. The fields are named and a table is included which details the acreages of each field. Some colour. No scale.
Item b 705:73 BA14450/254/2 is a plan of Bishop's Fields as surveyed by Doharty junior in 1732. A table detailing the acreages of each field is included. Some colour. No scale.The two maps reflect the changes in the land over the 141 years.
Item b 705:73 BA14450/254/3 is a letter from John Doharty junior to Mr Cox, attorney, dated Worcester, 14 May 1737. At the direction of the Right Honourable Earl of Coventry, Doharty sends the two plans of Bishop's Fields to be used in comparison with each other as evidence of the extent of the lands belonging to Lord Coventry. These plans appear to be being used in the contest between Lord Coventry and Mr Vernon regarding the ownership of the lands in question.
