DescriptionThe Town Clerk was a solicitor responsible for keeping the council's and courts records, correspondence, clerk of orphan's court until 1621, escheator from 1621, he or staff assisted with drawing up of legal documents and deeds. He could also be the coronor, as William Wyatt was. In this section are all the Chamber Order books, council and committee papers, year books and correspondence from 1522 to the early twentieth century.

The addresses to the Royal Family and Recorder's records that are referred to or could otherwise be expected to be in this collection, may not necessarily be. Copies may be found with the family papers of the Earls of Coventry for the periods in which various members of the family were Recorders of Worcester (early 1800s).
